“I do not understand the mystery of grace — only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.” Anne Lamott

I’m Rachel, mom to two active, smart, funny sons and two crazy dogs (a golden and a chocolate lab). We have an assortment of gentleman-farmer animals around our place, too. I enjoy cheering my boys along on their many adventures, caring for our critters, and taking photos of it all.

I escape the chaos at home in my day job as the Chief Information Officer for the High Desert Education Service District. I spend my days working with websites, databases, classroom technology, and — most fortunately — amazing people. We serve students and teachers in central Oregon. It’s rewarding work.

“The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected.” G.K. Chesterton

“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.” St. Francis of Assisi
